Hiring an electrician in Nairobi: not on Wakazi yet
Electrical work can't be booked on Wakazi yet. In Kenya, house wiring, solar installation and socket repairs need a worker with a current EPRA licence of the right class (Energy Act), and Wakazi can't check those licences on the EPRA register yet. Electrical work opens on Wakazi only once that check exists — never on ratings alone.

How Wakazi checks workers
Every worker confirms their email before they can take ordinary work, and needs a current “ID checked by Wakazi” badge before travelling to an in-person job: a Wakazi reviewer compared their government ID with a live selfie (it is not a government-database check). Profiles carry facts you can check at a glance: ratings and written reviews left only by customers who actually completed the work — free for everyone to read; and a reliability score built from real response and completion signals — never self-declared. Where the law requires a licence, a service opens on Wakazi only once Wakazi can check that licence with its issuer. Work photos come from the worker's own portfolio, and no phone number or exact location is ever shown before you connect.

Common questions
Why can't I book an electrician on Wakazi?
Electrical and solar work legally needs a current EPRA licence of the right class. Wakazi opens a licensed trade only once it can check each worker's licence with its issuer — for electrical work, the EPRA register — and that check isn't available yet. Until then Wakazi doesn't take electrical Requests, rather than show you a licence nobody checked.
What should I check if I hire an electrician elsewhere?
Ask to see their current EPRA licence and confirm its class covers your job before any work starts. A star rating or an ID check is never a substitute for a licence.
